Background
Dr. Melissa Joslin holds a doctorate in Psychology and has worked in the mental health field for nearly 15 years. Before founding Crosstown Psychology, she served in a variety of roles — including medical social work, community mental health, correctional settings, and inpatient psychiatric care. These diverse experiences shaped her holistic, compassionate approach to therapy and deepened her commitment to serving individuals with care and integrity.

After completing her doctorate in 2021, Dr. Joslin shifted her focus to outpatient therapy, where she now offers personalized, evidence-based care to individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and other mental health challenges. She is known for her warmth, empathy, and ability to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel genuinely seen and supported.

Dr. Joslin specializes in trauma-informed therapy and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful method for helping clients process and heal from painful experiences. At the core of her work is a simple but important goal: to walk alongside each person with compassion, helping them reconnect with hope, strength, and lasting healing.
