About Us
Meeting You Where You Are — With Compassion and Care
Seeking therapy is a brave first step. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief, or simply feeling stuck in life, you're not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. At Crosstown Psychology, we believe healing is possible and that every person deserves to feel supported, seen, and understood.
We offer both virtual therapy across California and in-person sessions in Sacramento, creating accessible, judgment-free space for you to explore, heal, and grow.

Meet The Team
Our team of compassionate female clinicians bring a wide range of experience and specialties — but we all share the same heart for helping others feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal.
Our Story
Crosstown Psychology was founded with a simple belief: mental health care should be grounded in empathy, shaped by real-life experience, and tailored to each individual’s journey.
For founder Melissa Joslin, Psy.D., that belief began with her own lived experience. Growing up in a home touched by mental illness and substance use shaped her understanding of how deeply these challenges can affect individuals and families — and how vital compassionate, quality care truly is.
Now, with a team of dedicated female therapists from diverse backgrounds, Crosstown Psychology supports clients across all walks of life. The team brings years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and older adults in a range of settings — from crisis care to inpatient psychiatry and outpatient therapy.
While every therapist on the team has their own specialty, one thing remains the same: a big heart for this work, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to begin.

Our Approach
We take a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy. That means we focus not just on what you’re going through, but on who you are.
We prioritize collaboration, safety, and empathy — creating a space where you can be honest, ask hard questions, and feel fully supported.
Whether you're interested in weekly therapy, short-term support, trauma-informed care, or integrating your faith into the process, we tailor treatment to fit your unique needs and goals.
Healing isn’t a straight line. But with the right tools, support, and connection, you don’t have to walk it alone. We’re honored to be part of your journey.
